1. Multi-line text using the tilde (~) character to specify line end or word wrap.
2. Sorting by all of the text columns and by dates in both ascending and descending order.
3. Font, size, face, and color control of all the sections of the chart. The fonts may be Times, Helvetica, and Courier. The faces are plain, bold, italics, and underline. The colors are black, white, red, green, blue, yellow, magenta, and cyan. The size of characters, symbols and bars can vary from 2 to 99 points. The sections of the chart affected are Headings, Header, Footer, Titles, Notes, Dates, Symbols, Bars, BackColor, and Border.
4. More milestones are added in a new window. Up to 5 extra symbols along with their dates and annotations can be added to each task. The annotations can be centered or place to the left or right of the symbols. The symbols can be triangles (events), diamonds (slides), tier 1, tier 2, contract, and DoD. The symbols can be suppressed, placed above, or placed below the bar. The dates can be centered, justified to the left or right, or suppressed. The date format can be individually specified. Also, each file may contain up to 400 tasks.
5. A Manufacturing calendar has been implemented. Users can modify the holidays and specify whether Saturdays, Sundays and the holidays are in effect. The starting day of the week can be set and either the first or last day of the week prints in the headings above the schedule. Vertical gray bars can be printed to indicate activated holidays. Users can also specify all events placed on holidays to be moved to the next work day.
6. Precedence and successor connector lines are available to link tasks. The predecessor and successor codes are task codes which are entered in special fields on the Task screen.
7. Precedence processing is available to assign dependencies between tasks and their predecessors. A task's dates will automatically be modified whenever its predecessor's end date is modified. The predecessor (successors do not affect date calculation) is entered in the Task screen.
8. Placing graphics in the Macintosh Clipboard has been enhanced. The symbols are all polygons rather than a group of vectors (lines). This allows easier manipulation in draw packages such as MacDraw and Canvas. Either portrait or landscape is selected in the Page Setup window.
9. As mentioned in #3 above, color is available. It is good for projecting charts, viewing projects, printing on color lazer printers, and plotting on color plotters.
10. Users can now specify pages Down along with pages Across. The word "of" can be printed by the page number whenever something is entered in the associated field.
11. One additional text column (Notes) increases the number of text columns to 5. The notes will print in two places unless they are suppressed in the Other menu.
12. The default face and color for a task can be overridden task by task to highlight tasks on the critical path or tasks needing special visibility.
13. More buttons were added to the Task screen to speed the navigation to tasks and the preview screen. Next/New, Before, and Preview buttons were added. A calculate button was added to recalculate the dates during precedence processing.
14. The Task screen has been modified to speed the entering of begin then end dates. Hit the Return key to bypass the begin slide date. Also, the year need not be entered if it is the current year.
15. Dates are automatically calculated from "duration days" if the predecessor processing option is activated.
16. The Header and Footer now have 4 titles and the "Control" (such as "LIMITED") heading is variable and entered in the Header window. Tabbing is now available in the Footer by using the tilde (~) character. The legend has been expanded to include 9 selectable legend items.
17. The Import and Export capability has been enhanced to handle the predecessor, successor, face, color, and duration days of the tasks.
18. Command-P is now used for printing and the Command-B is used for Before, (formerly Previous.)
19. The Edit menu options function more logically. All subsequent tasks are moved down (or up) one row in insert and delete. There are overlay and replace functions to add capability to the Paste Task options.
20. There are now 5 Select By options for navigating to a different task. (Row, Task, Title, Resp, and Note)
21. There are options in the Page Setup window to automatically reset the Data Date to the day the chart is modified, and to automatically set all the Complete-To dates to the Data Date.
22. The Global Changes has be upgraded to eliminate dual functions, the fields are checked for completion and accuracy, and the extra milestones are also affected.
23. Ah! Schedule cycles through the Startup window very quickly without requiring a click of the mouse. Also the entire screen is used to preview charts. The size of the paper selected in printing is fully used, and multiple copies of portrait charts is possible. The screens refresh when disturbed, except some graphics in the preview screen when wiped out by a screen saver. If this happens, move the mouse to the bottom of the screen and click. The chart will be redrawn. On startup existing charts are previewed rather than displaying the Task screen.
24. There is an option to make text boxes on Task screen bigger.
25. The size of the bars can be set on a task by task basis. The bars can be dotted.
26. The Task screen bounces to the bottom of the monitor when the selected task is on the top portion of the chart.
